Do I take the plunge?

I'm the kind of girl that's had the same hair cut for years and now I'm thinking....

Dior Nude Natural Glow Hydrating Makeup Review

I'm no hoarder.... But I can NEVER seem to throw away jeans no matter how beaten up they are... Unless it's in the crotch

Is it time? Say it ain't so

Recently I read Mario Dedivanovic's Beauty blog. He's one of the Kardashians makeup artists and most importantly, he did Kim's makeup for her wedding. I'm not one to hop on the bandwagon but her makeup was pretty stunning that day so when I read that he used Dior Nude Natural Glow Hydrating Makeup, I couldn't wait any longer than an hour before I was up and gone to Sephora
My shade was Sand 031
(medium golden beige/ for medium light complexions with yellow undertones)

Here are the photos
bare face (notice the sullen face)
Left side is covered with a light layer applied by a damp sponge
 Full face application
 theBalm Bahama Mama Bronzer
Benefit Cosmetics Girl meets Pearl applied to cheekbones
Full application of bronzer, highlighter and Elf blush in Peachy Keen
 and the rest
Brows: Mac Cork e/s
Eyes: UDPP, Mac Mulch e/s, Mac Brule e/s, Mac Ricepaper e/s, Mac Carbon e/s, Mac kohl liner in smolder, Maybelline Eyestudio Cream Eyeliner
Lips: Nyx lipliner Rose, Wet n Wild lipstick 901BP, Revlon Colorburst lipgloss in Sunset Peach

Pros:
Matched my fickle skin tone without turning me yellow or pink
Spreads evenly and covers well without seeping into lines too much
After wearing it a few hours of everyday wear AND house cleaning, while I did sweat, the makeup itself didn't move or smear
Has a nice dewy look but isn't actually oily or too moist on the face(I have oily skin)
After a few hours I find I only need to do light retouching with powder
No immediate break outs (I've had experiences where I break out within an hour of new foundation)

Cons:
$46
the formula itself is a little thick. It does smooth out evenly but it was intimidating to me at first (I used a slightly damp sponge)
Doesn't cover as well as Mac or MUFE. While it is buildable, I'm only speaking on a once over application

Overall, I definately do love it. I usually use Lancome Teinte Idole fresh wear for everyday and either Laura Mercier creme foundation or Nars Sheer Glow for night time or heavy makeup but I find this the perfect in between

What stands out most to me is that it didn't seep into my lines. I'm only 21 but I still have slight lines around my lips and nose. I tried this foundation on without primer and it didn't seep. I think with a primer it'll be even better

I also got theBalm Bahama Mama bronzer ($19)
I was surprisingly pleased with this bronzer. I have a hard time finding a bronzer that doesn't make me look Native American or like I got socked in the face. This shade gave me a natural hollow that didn't stand out like "Look I'm a bronzer!"

Poll Time

Hey Ladies real quickly

What brand of false strip lashes do you use and why?

If there was something you can do to make them better what would they be?

My favorite is Miss Adoro or Red Cherry. I stock up on Miss Adoro from trade shows and Red Cherrys at Santee Alley. They're lightweight but good enough that I can use them up to 3 times and the ranges from natural to dramatic are pretty legit for me

If you call it a "staple item" then you HAVE to buy it!

I've been crazy about "staple" items for my closet.

That's my excuse for spending alot of money on cute stuff that i will wear for ever. Well it's true!

The older I'm getting the more I'm realizing the better it is that I have a few expensive things I can wear forever than 10 black clearance tank tops

Lately I've been on a jacket/outerwear kick. Here's some jackets I've got within the last month or so starting from the one I bought the longest ago to the most recent

Leather Jacket from H&M

Military cropped jacket from H&M

Shearling lined leather jacket from H&M

Leather Biker jacket from Forever 21

Gray Slouchy thin Cardigan from Forever21
Those are all the jackets I've bought recently. With the F21 order I also got this belt
I also bought these boots from amiclubwear which is the Louboutin knock offs

Overall decent quality, decent comfort (but invest in insoles) true to size but probably won't last long but great knock off

You probably are familiar with the "alley" kind of brands. You know the knock offs of designer style designer companies like Michael Antonio or Soda or whatever. Not super comfortable but it's good if you want the designer look for a short while

My opinion on Amiclubwear

I've had pretty bad experiences with them before from shitty quality clothing, ridiculously long delivery times, back orders etc. This time though I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered on October 14 and today is the 18th and itwas on my patio today! Now granted I live 13 minutes away from their werehouse but still.

Also, the leather bikerette jacket, gray cardigan and belt was received via mail too. I also ordered that same night and got it today. really surprised with the excellent shipping.

I can honestly say that I will wear all of these items for a long time and continuously.

♥♥♥

The otherday I finally had a day off daily work/school and got to go to a show
It was Immolation/Vader/Abigail Williams

Every now and then you go to a show where all your old friends are there, there are NO negative feelings and people just keep buying you beers

it was a great night

here's my hair and makeup for that day:::

and the only picture to prove that I was even awake that night::
Bob from Immolation, me and my bff Adri

And the only thing that kept me from puking up my stomache the next day
♥♥♥

And now I leave you with the faces of a couple of ugly ass dogs
